Once upon a time there was a little girl. Her parents told her that the “honesty” is a virtue. It is a highest moral value which she is supposed to practice. But in reality, when the little girl started expressing things that were not “appropriate” as per her parents, they started scolding her and tried hard to fit her in a box called “good girl”.

    She got the message that if at all she speaks her mind, people will be uncomfortable. She will loose her title of  “good girl”. She started being afraid of speaking her mind. She wanted acceptance and love from people around her. Then she decided to become a “good girl” to please people. She started lying. She started speaking things which people wanted to hear. She was not authentic and genuine any more. She kept lying more and people loved her more. She associated the image of the loving woman with “sacrifice” and “denial of her needs”. She became a people pleaser.

    Then she met a man of her dream who loved her for “being her”. He held her hand and gave wings to her dreams. His unconditional love helped her understand her true potential. She realized that it was her conscious choice to give up her honesty just to get appreciation and love from people.

    She made a strong decision to be honest & started expressing her mind. People who did not like it felt insulted, hurt, annoyed, irritated & angry. But people who actually loved her stayed by her side like a rock hard mountain. They gave her the courage to speak her mind. She found her true self. She realized that she is a source of love, kindness and compassion. There is no need to search for it outside. She stopped explaining or apologizing people for being herself. She started believing her true potential. Then there were times her own transformational journey inspired her.

    My deepest regards to each and every individual who is reading this post. Trust me, each one of you have more potential than you have ever imagined. Allow yourself to be “you” and in the process you will meet the most amazing person in the world.
